I have a fascination with hydrangeas. What I find most compelling about them is the repetitive pattern of the blooms, the distinguishing form of each flower, and the wide variety of colors in which they appear. These hydrangea photographs have a very soft and peaceful feeling, and they remind me of relaxing in an evening garden.

Roses are a classic garden plant, and I have included four Rose images that highlight their classic beauty. These photographs capture what it is to be a rose: the architecture of the flower, the soft and delicate texture of its petals, and deep saturation of color. The photographs in this set make me appreciate the time and effort of cultivation required to produce such fine specimens.
